Quarantine Musings
Looks like we are back to the glorious eighties
She said said as she gazed at the empty streets
Sure, the outbreak has caught us unawares
And is analogous to our most fraught nightmares
But the air is cleaner
and the waters are clearer
People have slowed down to relish the small moments
Snapping out of autopilot modes and digital engrossments
Pausing to watch tiny flowers swaying in the gentle
breeze
Listening to the chirping of birds and finding inner
peace
Chatter fills the living room as the family embraces quality
time
Swapping the monotonous zoning out during screen time
Physically distant, folks come together
United in spirit like birds of a feather
